Hmmmm, sounds like you would be better off with a Rover 75 Grandad.

Try the middle pedal, instead of the car in front. Helps preserve the body work too

BTW I have a thin black vinyl disc, about 7" across with a hole in the centre, is this a record?

I'm going now....

So? I take it that I AM, indeed, up for a Skillful Driver award??!!

How people can't drive properly and wear stuff out before their time is beyond me!!

Sorry,

Yes I think its unusual not to wear pads and tyres out over that milage for a performance car, but if you enjoy driving it slowly, carefully and only using 10% of its capability, then who are we to complain.

Buy a different car and let someone who actually wants to use the performance have your car

Cool

I think i can beat that, or at least equal it.

Some years ago i had a Renault 5 GT Turbo. By the time i sold it, it had done 86,000 miles on the original clutch.

I'd got through about seven clutch cables mind you - the 5GTT's major design fault, but never needed a new clutch plate.

And it wasn't shown any mercy either.

About a year later, the guy who bought it from me brought it round to show me the respray he'd given it - and it looked awesome.

And *still* it was on the original clutch, at over 100,000 miles...

Cool

Gearboxes are NOT designed to wear out - brake pads ARE!! So, I concentrate on saving the lives of those poor components considered expendable ........... anyway, someone once posted on here that Subaru brake pads cost about £200 or something??
