Filled up with fuel tonight in the shell garage and came back out of paypoint to find 8/9 teenagers around the car...Could have peed myself laughing - had shouts of:-

1.How fast mister?
2.Did that cost 28 grand?
3.Can that beat a cossie cause my mates dad has one thats faster than that.
4.can you wheel spin?
5.Is that faster than a BMW?
6.Have you rallied it?

LMAO my mate was with me and was alughing also we just got in the car and drove off. What are the dads of today telling their Kids?

my usual reply to questions like that is "It's just a bodykit" - then they leave you alone.

They soon realise you were fibbing when you drive off though, but the lie serves its purpose that you can't have a rational argument with a teenager.

Its best just to humour them, tell them its running 450 bhp, does 0 - 60 in 4.2 secs and has a top speed of 220 mph , as for price its a limited edition, hand built jobbie and is priceless . Watch their jaws hit the floor and start to drool . Obviously don't do this at garages near where you live or they could be back later for a play in your car ( usually at 2 am when your're tucked up in bed).
Remember when you were younger with your nose pushed up against the first lancia integrale you saw ( some of us still do it ).
