Thinking of buying an AA warranty for my now out-of-warranty Astra. Does anyone know much about these? It'd be £237 per year.

Took this cover out but never used it. Take a good look at the small print because there are a lot of areas that are not covered. Another thing is you only get cover for £500 of the repair, the rest you pay. Say for example your turbo failed and as a result another part of your engine was damaged, the warrant will only cover the repair to the turbo, not the rest of the engine that is damaged as a result of of the turbo. see what I mean?

Up to you though.Just don't rush into it. Read the paper work. Or consider a Vauxhaul warrant.

Just my tuppence worth

Regards
Jamie

Question

That money would go a long way towards repairing anything that *might* go wrong, I once bought a warranty, cost a fortune, never used it, and the smallprint meant that I probably wouldnt have been able to claim for anything anyway
do a search for warranty on here....

I used Warranty Wise on my Alfa 156 v6, ai had a gearbox fail on me and they replaced it without even an engineer visiting. They also have options for main dealer rates which was handy!

worth a look
