WRX WITH RA BITS

My mates just bought a 93 WRX import.
Totally bog standard on 29K mint.
Anyway His car seems to have an RA 35litre tank and an RA gearbox.
Would this have been an option at new or has it been changed
by previous Banzai owner?
All numbers etc on engine chasis are ok so doesn't look dodgy.
Does any one know if this could happen on early imprezas,
lack of parts on production line etc?
He likes it though it's mega fast to 100 on track!

I have a 93 WRX import as well.
Are you sure on the size of the tank ?
Why do you think it has a RA gearbox ?
Most scoobys are mega fast to 100, does it run out of steam at 112 mph ?

The car is reving higher - 70mph=3200revs
mine - 70mph=2700
looks like gearing is different.

not sure on exact specs
Before any ones says some RAs left the factory with central locking, electric mirrors, electrics windows and climate control as a listed model and not just selected off the options list

WOW, an Imprezza with an EVO sized fuel tank ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Drove from Lancaster to Monza last March in my EVO, you can imagine the number of times I had to stop to fill up. (still, only took 17 hours to get home, and that included a trip through the Vosages and the ferry

Mines a MY99 Wrx sti RA and it takes 40 quid to fill if from empty so think that works out bout a 50 litre tank. And mine tops out at 151![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
