Count me in for this one.

Just the one question, are all the cars being done at the same time or can you choose when to have it done?

I'd love to, but it's just not the right time at the moment. I was planning to get a Unichip for my MY97 in a couple of months, If this had come up in a couple of months I would have been in Oh well, Unichip it is then.

Thumbs up

I wouldnt imagine all the cars to be sorted at the same time but PE have the capability of doing a few a day.

DreXeL, I am sure we can include you as there are bound to be a few who will prefer an after Xmas fitting. I will find out for you.

Once we get some numbers I can make the next steps of deposits, payment and fitting dates etc.

Cheers

Neal

A little question for the smart boys

I have a uk MY98 turbo.
How do i tell if its got the 3 port boost solenoid
I understand that these are more accurate when it comes to altering the boost pressure.

Oh and Neal

Have you got a knock link.

Look on the driver side inner wing, the vertical brass cylinder thingy with the wires in the top.
It would have a hose near the top on the side, a hose near the bottom on the side and one on the flat bottom plate, if it is a 3 port boost solenoid.

Yes, more accurate boost control, better spool IIRC, recommended for ECU upgrades by some companies IIRC.

Search on Scoobynet for more info and maybe pics!

NM,

The name oatcake came about when i used to work in Crewe, they all call people from stoke oatcake or clay-head, and oatcake stuck with me.

Also about ten years ago i bought a oatcake shop!

Hi Guys

Dont worry about dates atm. I am sure PE and I can come to some arrangement about dates as Xmas is on its way. Hey put one down on your Xmas list . I am sure that a small deposit will suffice to secure a place in the Group Buy but I will check with PE and confirm tomorrow. At the end of the day we are happy about the reduction in prices and I am sure PE will be glad to have confirmed sales !!!

Get back to you all tomorrow.

------------------------ UPDATE -----------------------

Hi Guys

I have had a chat with PE and we have agreed the following.

Once numbers confirmed a deposit of 10% will be required (£60)!

Once the deposit is paid it is upto the individual to book their time for the fitting and reprogramming.

Therefore if Xmas is a bit tight due to an extra large Turkey on the table or you all want to buy me a pressie . You can book the car in for next year and sort out the final payment then. As long as the deposit is paid its all down to you to sort out the rest !!!! If you want a weekend fitting you will have to wait till next year anyway. While weekday fitting is approx a weeks wait.

A cut off date has not been arranged and I will try and keep this going as long as I can, but one will have to be arranged so that we can fix the price. If we have over 15 I am sure it will be open for a while longer as nobody will be losing out.

Basic Fitting procedure

Car booked in
Car checked over for possible problems and mods
ECU removed and relevent additions fitted (MY97-98)
Laptop plugged in
Car booked on the rollers for 1 1/2Hrs
Car tested on open road.
Drive away with a smile on your face

Any issues PE will ensure they are sorted out before you leave.

Cheers

Neal

NM

Just a quick Q

I have already got a full Decat scoobysport exhaust on my car and don't really want to change it for P.E's T75, So would they do a remap with my SS Exhaust on the car.

I would take the T75 Exhaust and sell it on privately. So I would still purchase the whole of the performance pack.

Thanks

Tom

Tom

The group buy being arranged is for a re-map only.
MY98 cars need a modification to there chip to enable re-mapping.

The price of around £600 depending on numbers does not include any of the rest from the pack.

The chip will be mapped for your car as it stands, ie whatever mods you have.

Hope this helpls

Greg

As Greg stated

The group buy is JUST for the ECU remap and does not include zausts etc.

Deposits

This all depends on how quickly we get the numbers. No date has been set yet but it wont be for at least a couple of weeks unless we get 15+ really quickly. The Deposit is used to confirm our numbers, so often have I seen 30 people raise interest in a group buy but only 20 finally go through with it. It is no good informing PE verbally that we have 12 people and they honour the group buy price for this quantity then only 5 turn up to have the unit fitted!!!! PE will end up losing out.

Therefore they need deposits to confirm the numbers.

I will inform you all when the deposit is required.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Numbers interested so far

1. Me MY98
2. Greg G MY98
3. Scoob UK MY98
4. Oatcake MY00
5. Rossi
6. Drexel
7. ScoobyDuck
8. Keigo
9. Neno
10. DBMScooby99

So thats 10 which brings the price fitted programmed and VAT to

Hi,

I see on your first page P/E are quoting £250 for a re-map of a phase 1, after it has been installed and further mods have been carried out.

Basically, I allready have a Phase 1 Conversion by PE but next year I will want it remapped so suit further mods Turbo/injectors etc.

Are you able to offer the £250 re-map charge as part of your group buy?

Cheers
