I'm 22 with 3yrs NCB and drive a a UK Turbo 2000, my insurance isn't too bad, £1070 with Direct Line (Tracker required) but I was also looking at imports and was only quoted about £500 more for a Type RA so its doable.

You'll find somewhere that can cover you, you just might no like the price. I know someone who had an STi7 when younger than you. However, it will push the price up, and cut down your options even more it being an import. Browse through the "insurance" section here for recommendations on companys to try, and get a quote or two.

I'm 21 with 2yrs NCB and pay £1800 with Tescos on a MY00 uk turbo. This probably isn't helped by the fact its parked on the drive.

well it wouldn't have to be ra to be honest, just something that stands out and not a p1 or 22b as i can't afford them i wouldn't want to spend over 8k to be honest

what do u reckon, normal wrx has 280bhp don't it, its just a mindfield to what one has what i'll end up buying a 1.6 sport knowing me lol

Not many companies insure RAs as they have never heard of them. I could insure a normal STI import easier and cheaper than a WRX RA. I reckon for me its about double a UK turbo. Thats 30+ years old, 75% NCB and still into 4 figures. It isnt standard and modified a little though.
