PPP and wheels

The PPP upgrade is a real temptation, but I need convincing that £1600 is well spent. So, taking a look at the Prodrive website, I see that they are making a strong recommendation to switch to 18" wheels, which would increase the cost to a total of £3600 or thereabouts. Since that’s beyond my meagre finances I’m now wondering if it’s worth having the PPP at all if the larger wheels are so important. Anyone?

If you want to keep your warranty the get the PPP, 18's are not essential just more money in the pocket for Prodrive, handaling improvments...not that great.
If your not bothered about your warranty get a full decat and ECUTEK custom map and that will not only be about the same cost but more horses as well![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

>I'm not convinced the 18" will do anything to make it go faster
top speed will increase slightly but acceleration will also degrade slightly, that's if the rolling circumference of the 18"s is more than the 17"s (sounds like a no-brainer but depends on tyres too)
based on g-tech and pod times 17" vs 18" however not on a scooby but a 300hp+ german v8 naming no names - i don't have the numbers in front of me but it was something like 0-60 6.6 vs 6.3, but top speed wasn't measured scientifically - ran out of autobahn....
