Does anyone know what boost pressure a standard MY97 2litre turbo runs at as I'm thinking of fitting a boost guage for safety monitoring purposes and am not sure wether to go for psi or bar scale (which would be more accurate.
Has anyone benefitted from fitting braided brake lines, in particular to the MY97. Cheers all, Matti.

So far as to which "scale" boost guage to fit is your choice, they are both as accurate, it all depends on which you are most "fluent" in.
The standard turbo unit runs at 15psi at max boost.
So far as aeroquip style flexi brake hoses go, well, they look good and if considering doing some serious track running, then go ahead, worth the money as it reduces the risk of the hoses expanding due to high temps, but normal road use will not get them anywhere near doing such. Yet again, your choice as its your wallet. I'd sooner keep the money in my wallet till it needs fuel than spend on unnecessary toys.
