sourob..
I was in sunny Nuneaton last week and got pulled by "Niall Baily's" DIY shop, done nothing wrong he followed me out of the town around the ring road, just a routine check, lights n tyres etc ... But yes they must be having a purge but it's a good thing if you have nowt to hide ...

Having owned my scooby for just a few weeks now a downside to owning it has arisen, i have been stopped twice in less than a week( sorry miss but these cars are constantly being stolen etc etc ) like i think my insurance premium kinda reflects this.Am i in a minority or does this happen to you guys too?? Maybe we should have a scooby register so the police know who has one!!!!!

Some policeman stopped me at 4.30am one morning when I was going to work in my 205GTI some years ago, and said the same thing; "just checking, there are a lot of stolen ones around." I must say, being a law student, I wonder what right they have; driving a car is hardly "reasonable suspicion". On the other hand, if it was some oik making off with my car before I'd had a chance to report it at 9am in the morning, I'd commend the copper for his foresight.

Too right!
As long as they are just pulling you as a precaution until they 'know' the car it should be welcomed, as it is protecting you and me against the scumbags. Have a chat with the guys and make sure they keep a look out who is driving your car!
If it gets too much then that's a different story, or perhaps they had heard of Sourob and just wanted to see for themselves
