If you took it to a dealer for Part ex I reckon they'd offer you £4,500.

You might get that privately, but I tried to sell an unmodded Impreza with 89,000 miles and no-one was interested, most people thought it was a risky buy.

most honest thing you could do is go to dealer explain the situation and aks what he would offer trade in and what he would put it on the forecourt.

whatever the figure in the middle is go for that.

I reckon 5.5k

Well I advertised my MY99 with 56k miles @ £8995 and didn't even get a sniff so that should give you some idea of how low impreza values have gone

A dealer, cash buy, its going to be very low - £4k maybe? Its the mileage that kills it I'm afraid

If its a divorce case surely £3.50 is a good price.

Saxo Boy,

Did you sell it in the end?

I would say about £5-5.5k. That said, you could probably free up more cash, by selling the bits off and returning the car to standard. If you don't have the orginal bits, get the buyers for your new bits to part ex the bits they will be taking off.

I recently sold my MY00 with 68k on the clock for £9k. IMHO a realistic price.

Bl0ody hell...prices have really fallen through the floor havn't they!...I am now feeling rather gutted as I stupidly paid 9.5k for my car just 2 months ago on an R plate although it did come with 2 sets of wheels which I managed to get £800 back on. At the time that car was on these boards and everyone was sayin' it was worth more!

Good luck with selling m8 as it looks really nice...I reckon you could get 8k if you autotrader it and r lucky.

6 K judging by how people react to mileage. Looks sweet though and u must be gutted to let it go.

Prices are a nightmare just now, I paid 6k for a MY95 a month ago and wouldnt be able to sell for that !

Good luck and hope u get it sorted

Ignore the value of anything that is above standard - in fact it will put off as many people as it will attract them.
Sell the bits that you can easily remove separately.

I'd say £5500-6000 if it has Full Subaru History. £500 less without

If I were you and being straight with her, I would give her £3500,
only you know the real value of your car, and as your not selling it, you know how well its been looked after and what you paid for it etc, if youve treated it like a hire car then its worth considerably less to you than if you have cherrished this car from when you bought it, I dont even know if I make sense anymore, ah well good luck anyway
