immobiliser help!!!
#1
on Friday morning I went to start my car as usual.(up to third position and waited for the fuel pump) warning lights came on but when I turned the key nothing! I am pretty sure its not the battery as the same thing has happened before and it has usually started after a few attempts. it happened last weekend and it finally started after leaving the car 7-8 hours. I have called the company who fitted the alarm/immobiliser which is a laserline 290i and 921K cat 1. but I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with their alarms.
Please help as I am getting withdrawal symptoms

Tend to find its normally a problem with the fitting of immobilisers and not the system itself. usually its a bad connection that causes the fault. Unless fitted by a decent company, not much you can do other than see how it goes.

it could well be the battery!!
i had exactly the same symptoms,, turned out it was a massive resistance due to corrosion build up on the odd connector the battery used.
the way to check is to check waht volts are at the battery,
and what volts are at the connector
i had 12 at the bat and 8 at the connector
hence no start
take everything of the battery terminals and give them a good clean and grease
