Top result, well chuffed! just got my issue through today, get home from work and have a flick through b4 dinner, and well chuffed to find the Impreza Spec C at the top of a very distinguished pile of cars.
The winner of the Best performance car where money is no object is the Porky 911 gt3, nice.
It seems 2003 has been a top year for the impreza, who cares if it has a boy racer image!

What a shame you can't stroll down to your local Subaru dealer and buy one though
I really would love one of these cars.

Is it a standard Spec C that was tested? I heard the one tested had a 2.5 engine and was heavily modified.

In this competitive market it does seem the Type 'C' is the Main competitor for the STiUK

It's Mr Litchfield's (or ianlit on here) demonstrator (hence the reggie plate)

I'm sure he'll be along in a minute to confirm the exact spec

Spec C Ltd that went to Evo was our Red car which was running our Milltek exhaust and remap it was 2.0 litre (2.5 went in after). It was around 335 bhp but not really sure why 280lbft was quoted.

It was an amazing few weeks, comparing it to the best cars around was a real eye opener and has given us loads of development ideas.

Got a new Demo car now

Just got my Evo through and was dissapointed that the Clio V6 got third place (surreal world) next to exotic machinery like the 911 and Gallardo. The Spec C came 4 places after the Clio.

Still at least its ECOTY in the Real World!

I never realised these new V6's were so highly rated?

Nathan - Its fast

The clio was very good in Italy but then the roads there were race-track smooth and quiet unique.
