Octane Booster... where, how much and which one??

For my GTFour, which really likes to pink after i've been sitting at the lights, i assume due to heatsoak into the topmount.
Where is the best place to get octane booster and how much am i lookin at?
ps. couldn't this just be down to the ignition being too advanced? the car has a distributor so i can't see why i can't just retard it slightly?
