Had the car 5 days now, and am thinking of updating the indicators from the 97 UK spec to the 2000 classic spec (clear or white I think) where is the best source for these items for quality and cost?

Also were the rear clusters on the wagon updated in 2000?

Many thanks in advance.

You will need a new bumper for a start as the 2000 indicators are a completely different shape.Try www.drmotorsport.co.uk they supplied me with a MY99-00 front bumper and they were very reasonably priced too. They also sell the indicators.Hope that helps.
I think you'd be looking in the region of £310 all in including delivery and painting

Or just change the indicators - about £65, again from DR Motorsport.

Just to clarify - the front bumper indicators changed shape in the 99-00 cars but were still orange. If you want clear ones you have to get aftermarket ones as Subaru don't do any. You can get aftermarket clear ones for both your 97 style and the later style. Although as mentioned later style will require you to change the front bumper.

I found Midland Impreza the cheapest place as they do both styles at £70 for the front indicators and side repeaters. Postage is another few quid but not much.

Be warned that they don't look as good as you imagine they might until you get silver bulbs rather than orange ones inside. These still flash orange and I found are cheapest from Silverfusion

You might not want to change them if you park it in a street at night. They are far too easy to remove, which myself and quite a few others have found out. Not cheap to replace if they keep go missing

Try ebay, seriously, go to the car section and run a search for subaru and watch as loads of subaru parts appear before your eyes . I think 25 quid a set is the going rate + p&p.
