Classic to Bugeye

Toying with the idea of changing my classic for a Bug Eye or New Age preferably PPP'd.
Will be getting rid of RB5 WR Sport, so what difreneces will I notice, handling, Fuel Consumption and Servicinfg costs etc?
May go and have a look at a few, wondered what you guys opinions would be first.
Cheers

All of the above are improved. Better build quality is also apparent and the lights are brighter - just.

After a rb5 wr sport, IMHO you would have to get at least a sti 7 with ppp in order to improve the driving pleasure, I went from a myoo turbo to a ppp'd bugeye and I only kept it a couple of weeks,it just didnt have the same feeling as the classic, some others will tell you different but I'd say dont do it, unless you can afford a sti,
best thing to do is test drive a few and then you will make your own mind up,

I've got an R reg Sport and a MY02 WRX. Naturally without the turbo the Sport is slow (it's the missis car) etc but just comparing the build quality the Bug Eye is miles better. It's much more solid and in my view (with Eibach's) the new shape handles better. The classic has such thin metal it's covered in dents, a mate in the office has a MY00 classic and his is the same.

Looks, Looks, Looks !!
The Classic has it in spades
The Bugeye and New Age are the carbuncles of the modern era - truly UGLY!
They might not dent - which is a shame - as you can't knock some style into it!

Keep the RB5, IMHO you would have to be certifiable to swap an RB5wrsport for a bugeye. Bugeyes are slow and ugly and yes I have driven both including a trackday in bugeyes when I was looking to buy. I bought an MY99ppp from a main dealer in the end when I could have had a brand new bugeye from tradesales for not much more (this was nearly two years ago when classics still had some residuals). It spanks a bugeye in terms of performance, put 3 fat blokes in your car to get some idea of bugeye performance. As for handling with 17s and geometry done a classic handles just as well as a bugeye. Even EVO magazine reckon the only better scooby than a P1 or RB5 is a spec C.

Merry Christmas to you all,
The classic looks better, but the bugeye is better to be in!!! You can always change the looks of the bugeye but your need to do alot more to make the classic as comfortable and the feel of a well built car. I guess each to their own!! Their both great versions in there own right so.
