non drooning exhausts do they exist
#1
Ive been looking at a few full system (decat) exhausts.
to name a few
Scoobymania V2 (apparantly manufactured by Miltek)
TSL grp N rear with centre and grp a down.
PE T75 ( with sports cat ).
xtreme scobbies (H & S)
Has anyone had an oppurtunity to hear these, im after a decent burble on stationary tickover and a nice howl on full throttle but i do not want a boomy drooning at motorway speeds, anyone got a solution, or do I have to drive round the country to hear them for myself ??.

I know what you mean.
Actually the Magnex system is excellent. Nice noise on tickover, yet howls when you boot it. And goes pretty much non-existent on motorway.
Doesnt howl like the Scoobysport ones etc. but still sounds very nice.
Is that what you mean?

I have a H+S D/P and a Magnex centre with resonator and a magnex 3.5" round BB on my wagon, I believe the quality of the Magnex stuff to be the best there is, it is certainly much better than the H+S D/P I have which is flattened at the bends and overall not as good quality. The noise is subdued inside the car, but sounds superb when you give it some. That's the combo I would go for, for low sound and lots of go.

I hadnt thought about magnex becuase i didnt think the made stuff for the new age cars. but looking further the only part they do not make is the centre section but i could use another type of centre.
Im still tempted by the scoobymania v2 as it looks good in the pictures just abit concerened about the noise level.
cheers

Or go for the stealth look and be a bit different...keep the old backbox and have a full decat.
Exhaust note is about the same but slightly more deeper and louder...plus you save 200odd quid

I have a full de cat HKS super drager and it rumbles along nice and quiet compared to most systems, on full chat it isnt bad either, performance is superb and its easy to live with and much much better quality than any of the H+S, magnex, scorpion etc stuff around being a japanese system, made for the motor in my opinion.

I have got a full Revolution system (turbo back). It sounds great on tickover i.e. not too loud but enhances the scooby tone perfectly. It is not boomy on motorways either but sounds fantastic when the turbo is on song.
An all round winner imha
Oh,and its also one of the cheaper systems when compared to blitz/hks etc
