Hi,

Have a look at the following link and picture for a car advertised by Power Vehicles.

It's an STi V.7 but says it has a Version 8 Conversion - (headlights, bonnet scoop, Bumper etc.).

Are there any companies in the UK offering this upgrade to the My02 Bugeye STI and if so, at what cost?

(Not interested in a Morette upgrade from Bugeye's BTW)

Wink

Will be a very expensive conversion, better off saving & getting the real thing.

We're looking into it.

New bonnet and scoop, pair of wings, bumper, headlamps, bumper mount and landing panels. Plus a 1" strip to be removed from the V7 inner wings.

As it's a used Jap import perhaps it has had a front end shunt and was repaired to V8 spec as detailed by DR motorsport before leaving Japan. Alternatively, this conversion would prob be a lot cheaper to do in Japan than in the UK & may have been done purely as a cosmetic excercise.

Only my opinion of course.

when i spoke to these guys at jvs, i wanted to buy this car, they still want about 21 or 22k for the car i think, but they said its manufactured in 2002. it could be one of the first blobeyes as there were some out in 2002, but seeing as it has a private plate you dont know when it was registered exactly, and the person i spoke to on the phone, knew about as much as my granny about scoobs so say no more, i didnt go to look

Hey jason dont put JVS down they are a great bunch of subaru-loving lads. I got my scooby there and I have never had a complaint with them. They are genuine and know their stuff.
All IMHO of course

Personally I think converting from STI 8 to STI 7 would be the way to go... but then I'm biased!

put them down? i simply shared my experience, i am not going to big them up, or put them down unless i have reason, i just said what happened to me and my opinion on the car. I asked the person when was it made, he said hold on ill go and see, and then came back with some comment about it has 2002 stitched on the seat or somewhere so i was like, err sounds promising, they had the car advertised in 1 place as 2002 and another place as 2001... to me thats enough to put me off buying a car, at least the person trying to sell it to me has to know what they are selling...anyway i thought bbs was about freedom of speech ? imho

think they would if you changed the rear bumper. Isnt the shell identical on the 01/02 and 03?
Could do with someone confirming this actualy.
Thanks.
