Hey

Its very cold outside at the moment, frost on the grass etc, and was wondering if anyone washes their car in this sort of weather? If so do you use warm water?

Thanks

Yup, warm water and then usually pressure wash off. Better than in the summer when it leaves water marks. Frickin' cold though!!!!

Yeah, I also find that you don't want to take your hand out of the hot water as when you take it out it's amazing how quickly your hand starts to cool.

I thoroughly wash all the frost off with a hosepipe and cold water, shampoo with warm water, rinse with a hosepipe and leather off immediately (no watermarks then, you see). Then go for a run in my shorts. (Christ, my legs have gone bright pink...)

That's a bizarre ritual (going for a run in shorts)! I normally just go inside, put my feet up and have a cuppa.

Our local garage has a new jet wash which is excellent. It's one of those where you choose the program as you are going along. The detergent leaves the Swissol Wax intact and there is a mineral less water wash option that leaves no streaking on the car. I always check the brush before hand and give it a quick blast with the hose to clear out any debris. £3 and it is done in 6 minutes.
