How many scoobies are driven by old people ?
By old I mean people who are 70+, I have seen a few scoobies near were I live being driven by old men in tweed hats and brown coats, I even saw one which was full of blue rinse grannies.
These cars are not modded but are usually do have the "standard" spoilers and alloys.
Perhaps I just live in the place were old people come when they're waiting to die and whilst they're waiting they trade in their Rover's.

Stopped at a pub/inn in the middle of nowhere a couple of months back. In the car park - a blue scooby sport with all the gear on, looked good. Went in, spoke to the landlord and was directed to the owner of the scoob - he had a flat cap on and must have been 70 if he was a day !! He was enthusiastic about scoobs tho' bless him !!

Gus, I am jealous.
They probably have about 60 years no claims bonus so they can afford to insure them.

If it was someone like Sean connery in a Ferrari then we wouldn't be that suprised, it'a a perception thing - my old man is 60+ and is as young at heart as any 30/40 year old.
Go for it old timers, life is for living!

Why shouldn't old people drive fast cars? My mother bought a 205 Gti when she was 65 (mind you, she only bought it cos the seats suited her bad back
).
I do know a guy who bought a Sierra Cosworth when he was in his late 60s and another guy who ran a 5 door Impreza Turbo well into his 70s. I suspect that both would have given their cars a wee bit of a caning now and again...
