Would you believe it, six weeks ago I became the proud owner of my first scooby and six days later some stupid old b*tch mangled the back end whilst it was on my DRIVEWAY! I'D ONLY DONE 100 OR SO MILES IN IT! Anyhow the garage said it'd probably be a couple of weeks (which in itself felt like ages considering how long I'd had my new toy), but according to them they're still awaiting parts, wonderful! This is purgatory.
Are scooby parts like gold dust or something?

Thankfully thats a matter for her insurance company, as is the lovely diesel megane i'm driving at the moment! Anyway, from the brief time I've had with the scooby so far all I can say is WOW! Its a bug eye WRX btw.

should really take only half the time. I remember back March/April when the 03 car was not long introduced, i reversed into this parking meter (came out from nowhere!). anyway i had it was understandable that i had to wait for some parts as subaru didn't have them in stock for beingt too new. but i would imagine all parts are readily available now...tell them to pull their fingers out

Listen to this then...
I've been driving for 13 years - no whacks or accidents etc until 3 or 4 months after getting my Scoob Type R in the summer when (at end of November) some white van man (transit) whacked my pride and joy up the backside whilst I was sat at traffic lights with handbrake on causing a couple of thousand pounds worth of damage (doesn't actually look that bad).
That made me a bit paranoid and I've been checking my rear view mirror constantly everytime I see anything roaring up behind me.
Then, last night, on the same road and at the same time of day it happened again in the same circumstances though this time, ironically, the pr@tt actually straightened out some of the damage done from the first whack...(though it did give me a moment of enjoyment watching his face as he saw the damage to the back of the Scoob, thinking he'd just done it...)
The car is booked to go into the bodyshop on Monday anyhow and no further damage has been done (indeed as I say it may actually have helped) and the good news (I think) is that the parts seem to have been sourced really quickly by my garage (baring in mind it's rare to find 2 door parts)...just keeping my fingers crossed that they are the right parts!
But what is it about Scoobs - are we invisable during the winter months? Is someone 'upstairs' trying to tell me something? Even if the idiots on the road can't see me, they can damn well sure hear me!

...I feel your pain !
I reversed into a telegraph pole after i'd just had some F1s fitted...ironic isn't it that for months i've been driving around in lethal Avon ZZ1s but avoided disaster!
Just on my way to the repair garage to get an estimate. Boot is badly buckled as is the bumper and sti type 4 spoiler has snaped off. Looks awful.

Hi foreskin mike! Hoping this message works, just registered myself but can't get it to work so am using monkey as a medium! Sorry 2 hear you are still having probs, and that you are having to endure the french wheelbarrow! Rest assured, after hearing the intricate details of madisons big off your problems seem somewhat insignificant! R.I.P greenmachine...

personally i think its all the drivers admiring the rear (of a SUBARU
) and are gawling over it and just admire the curves and the high spoilers...they get closer and closer and then realise they have forgetten to press their brakes as they come closer and WHACK!!!!
