The outside edge on my STI7 front tyres are almost bold, only 13,000 miles. Any ideas. Has not really been driven hard.

Got 16000 out of the first set of tyres on my STI7.. they all wore equally accross the tread, so suspect must be your tracking.. I had a geometry check with first service, tho they said nothing needed changing.

Possibly tracking but also depends on how you deal with roundabouts roundabout wear's always on the outsides

13K and the out side of the tyres are worn for gods sake man how many miles do you want them to last

I had noticible tyre wear on my my03 wrx after about 3000 miles, I enquired at the dealers to see if there were any concerns with tyre wear on the outer edges, They said it was quite common and to swap the wheels front to rear, I did this and increased the pressures in the front by .1 of a bar this seems to have stemmed the problem. More inclined to think this is down to cornering forces etc. rarther than tracking due to the fact of how good the handling is.
From my experience in the motor trade, the cars with low profile tyres and more than average grunt will really hammer front tyres on the outer edges.
