Hi

I park in the city centre everyday and usually use either Market Street or King Street West NCP carparks.

They are both very easy to access from Deansgate. KSW is behind Kendals and Market Street is at the end of end of deansgate (heading north). Market street is a little cheaper, £11 for the whole day or KSW £14 for the whole day.

Both have regular patrols.

Hope that helps

I parked my Scooby in Manchester for the first three years of ownership (now work away from Manchester town centre). Basically parked it in any sport i could find, not a bit of trouble.

Just because it's Manchester don't expect every other person to be a potential car thief. Having said that i don't go anywhere without my handgun and 12inch blade just in case

Tony - I'm a Scouser and lived in Manchester for a number of years before moving south, so I'm not too scared of the place!! Since I moved away Manchester has changed a lot and I just wondered where was a good place to park.

Save as hoses now... unless your a scouser .

Seriously i've pretty much parked in most places without problems... the M+S car park is quite nice and new(ish). Also i've used the King Street one quiet alot. Think i'd park there if i was to travel into Manchseter now. Used to park a lot in the Arndale but the stairs really do stink of **** .

Don't make the mistake of parking in Shude Hill car park. I did, once and it cost me £2k to sort out the botched attempted theft
