There is a black WRX going round Loughborough (usually at stupid speed) that is always poping and banging etc. Apparantly it also is a bit of a firespitter blah blah blah everyone goes on about how cool this is.............is this bad for the guys car? What are the implications of having a car this overfuelled?

It sounds like the car is decatted, this means that any unburnt fuel is exploding in the extremely hot exhaust and you get the flames.
As for overfuelling, most scoobs are anyway, id say the biggest downside for the guy who's car it is, is if he hasnt done the correct mods, runs the right fuel, and then he will get more than just flames from the exhaust

i used to have loud pops and bangs when going decat.. until i fixed the fuelling and had it leaned out at the top end a bit.

bad for his car? maybe. bad for performance? yes.
