Sorry to hear that mate. That very close to home.
Hope you get the car back soon and kick **** out of the scumbags that robbed it.
Or they get run over as they step out your car.

Sorry to hear of your loss mate
Tracker does not stop any car from being stolen, it means its more likely to be recovered after the scum have ripped out the stereo and interior, and screwed it into the ground wasting the tyres, clutch and caning the engine to within an inch of its life.
Any pro car thief can remove a tracker in about 5 mins, and I'm sure parking the car in a transport container would do the same job. I'd rather spend my hundreds of pounds elsewhere than have a sorry state dumped back on my drive, which would probably have "stolen recovered" logged on its history.
just my opinion

Sorry to hear about your loss m8!
Unfortunately the police will be too busy saving lives at accident blackspots to go out and catch/prosecute petty car theives and the like!
Personally I took the decision to move to a country where theres not so many car theives or "dangerous" roads 6 years ago!

Thanks everyone for your support. I got out of KFC after a meal. Got to the car, there was a volvo estate next me my car, 2 men in ski mask got out of the car with a baton each, absolutely nothing I could do about it. One of them hit me in the back with it, and drove off in my car. Absolutely gutted, especially that I just bought a new set of OZ alloys and tyres, , Defi gauges, knock link, Boost Controller, new oil, all sort. Spent a good grand plus in the last month, and all for nothing My insurance will rocket as well. I won't be able to afford another performance car for a while (not that I want one for the time being, if I'm going to be in the same risk...).
So a fair warning to all you fellow Scoobynetters. Be careful when you get in a car park anywhere. Be sure that there is no one around you when you get in the car, and always be alert!
if anyone has a well looked after cheap run about in Birmingham area, then let me know please.
Best Regards
Keigo

Sorry to hear your news mate,it sounded very frightening! Hopefully it's a good result..
In answer to DanTheMan..
Tracker does not stop any car from being stolen True
Any pro car thief can remove a tracker in about 5 mins If they know it's fitted this may be true, not being a thieving scumbag I wouldn't know, if you advertise on your car that it has a tracking system then more fool you..
I'm sure parking the car in a transport container would do the same job Who knows? The literature that came with mine said they'd find it even if it was in a shipping container or underground...
Personally I got one fitted, the insurance company demanded it anyway, maybe more people should think about anti car jacking devices, I know when I change mine I'll be pricing them up..
Our cars are desirable to scumbags, ( as are others)if you want one, maybe you should be prepared to fork out to protect it from them?

hearing this happenig more and more in birmingham and midlands, its very worrying
i am definately thinking on the £130 blackjax being fitted to mine, at least it wont get them very far.
just my opinion but the t0$$ers that attack or threaten the owner are not just nicking the car for joyriding or theiving parts but for use in robberies, more serious crime etc. if the car cuts out down the road they will just abandon the car and scarper.
it just amazes me that the police seem to be more intterested in nicking motorist for illegal spacing on number plates or breaking the speed limit by 5mph then catching this increasing theiving scum.
Gutted for ya mate, hope u get it back and they rot in HELL!!

I would have thought that the police would look at this incident more seriously as they actually stole the keys from you with force. If they had taken the keys how would/does the blackjacks know to activate?, do you have to put a secondary code into a keypad somewhere?.
With tracker here are no visible markings so say it is fitted so the theiving scum may not look to rip it out anyway. Sound like the robbery was more that general joy ride

as far as i am aware the blackjax system is automatically armed, you need to put the number in the keypad to de-activate it.
Sorry to here that this has happened again , I hope you manage to get the car back undamaged and that these scum are caught

Given cost of insurance (for any car - I don't have a Scoob) the insurance companies take the pi$$ to say you can only have insurance if you have a tracker. Would you be happy to buy health insurance on the promise of reducing their risk e.g "you can have health insurance as long as you eat this diet and go to a gym, don't smoke or drink? etc etc"

I lived in Erdington for a short while about 12 years ago, first night in new lodgings I got my XR2 nicked from outside the house!
As for insurance/risk etc, I think you'll find that most health insurance is more expensive if you smoke, and I think some companies will not cover smokers.

John P, the Blackjack system works
*************Edited to remove sensitive information***************
The system kills the car at the first time it is under 10/15mph or stationary IIRC also sounds the alarm after a set amount of time, depending on the alarm system it can also be set to lock doors/flash lights etc.
Keigo, sorry to hijack your thread, hope your ok and you get your car back soon.
John.

!!!!!Update!!!!!
Car found in Worcester. Police have now recovered the vehicle, and now running some fingerprints from the car.
I haven't had the info on the condition of the car, but at least it's a start. Knowing the condition last night (snow and ice), I doubt they would have thrashed it too much (hopeful thinking)
I will update once I have more info. Thanks everyone for your support.
