Taking the wheel off after a puncture I discovered that one of the nuts was cross threaded and stripped the stud as it came off.
Question is, how extremely unsafe is it to drive with only 4 nuts on the wheel (spacesaver) - need to get to work tomorrow and then to garage....or is this asking for certain death??
Help......

My tyre fitters found two cross threaded and siezed on mine. The only way to get them off was to shear them off with a big breaker bar. Real bugger was they were two next to each other on the same wheel.... They refused point blank to let me drive off like that, even slow to a garage, I probably wouldn't have anyway.
I robbed a stud out of the good side and drove home quite happily with 4 studs in each front wheel. Fixed it the next evening but must have done 150 miles like that without bother.
Despite advice to the contrary in the owners manual I then removed all the nuts and copperslipped them thoroughly, no problem since.
