Just got this email from Subaru Benelux regarding the warranty and fitment of the Prodrive Performance Pack. Might be of interest to some.
Dear Mr. X,

Thank you for your reply via our internet site.

We will warrant the Subaru only if the prodrive performance package is installed by the specialy approved Subaru 6 Star Dealer who is allowed by Subaru Benelux to install the Prodrive performance package.

As you know that the power is increased it is most importand that installation of this package is done properly. We are auditing these dealers regularly. Doing this we can warrant the cars with prodrive package.

If you want you can order the package at any officialy approved Subaru 6 Star dealer in the Netherlands and he will arrange the installation for you at an approved Subaru 6 Star Dealer.

With regards,

Subaru Benelux

Wink

You're obsessed with this TEK3 thing. Some of us are obsessed with an intact warranty.

Question

Dave,

I wonder if they'd play ball if you ordered / fitted it with their knowledge at a UK dealer (who might have more experience with the kit possibly IMHO)

Apple

PS you've already got the kit so why the enquiry unless they are catching up from a while back?

Apple, it is an enquiry from a few weeks back. What they seem to suggest is ordering the kit from a Benelux dealer to be delivered to and fitted by an approved UK dealer. I just thought it might be of interest to some of the EU owners out there who might like to go PPP but have been fobbed off with all the red tape.

And yes, I have got the kit. And very happy I am with it too

I've had the car 12 months and it's not gone *bad* yet

I've saved the money for a rebuild by going EU - and you can get a lot more than PPP for a lot less than PPP money elsewhere. Though I did get it at the right time (Nov 02 prices! = <17k new)

My 2p
