Cool The most pathetic attempt at carjacking EVER! Nottingham!

So there I was at a set of traffic lights, outside lane and a long, wide 60mph, two lanes into one type road ahead.
I was at the front of the que and a Ford Focus was on the inside lane next to me.
In Nottingham, there are precious few roads that allow you to boot your car from 0-60 without a camera or traffic getting in the way
So lights change and off I go, I'm doing 60 before you know it but it was fun getting there. I look in the mirror and see that my flame kit is doing it's thing and all is well with the world. I settle into a 60 cruise and potter on to the next round about.
In the distance this focus is charging up behind me, lights flashing like a light possesed. I think, what's that all about, is the flame kit still flaming, is the back of my car hanging off etc. He gets about 20 ft behind me and just keeps flashing his lights so i think, Oh crap, that'll be a copper about to do me for the flame kit thing
I couldn't pull over on the 60mph road so I waited for an opportunity to turn right into a pub car park (well a small housing estate that had a pub) I turned right off the main road and slowed up to a stop.
The Focus pulled up next to me and in the front were two blokes, unshaven wearing t-shirt and jeans type attire. In the back were two more blokes, neither of them able to look at me. I thought "ey ey, these boys ain't coppers"
The front passenger says to me
Passenger "Do you know how fast you were going"
Me "No!!" (Never admit you might have been speeding )
Passenger "You were speeding"
Me "was I?" Knowing that a Focus isn't going to have any official speed measuring equipment on board." How fast was I going?"
Passenger "55"
Me "It's a 60!!"
Driver "Stop messing us about!, can you move your car over there and get out of your car?"
Me"OK After you"
He pulled off and went to the other side of the car park, I waited until he was commited to the turn and simply carried on round the roundabout, back onto the main road and off I went.
I figured If they were coppers, I'd be pulled within the next 5 mins and I'd be able to explain why I drove off, or they would come and chase me. Neither happened!
Moral of the story, don't pull over for anything unless it's a traffic car or you can see the words police somewhere.
Didn't scare me or anything, just made me laff at the sheer "THICKNESS" of these people, no wonder they have to go round trying to steal all of thier pathetic ,meaningless, sponging, lives.
Message to all potential Carjackers, Eff Off and get a life Or even, get a job so you can afford one you To55ers

Well done Mikey.

You might want to tell the cops about that, give them a description as well. You're smart, but others might not be.

I hope you reported the number plate and can give us a few more details about location ect as I too live in Nottingham. To be honest unless I see blue lights I would never pull over!! As even unmarked Police Cars have Blue lights just behind the front grill.

well done mikey, do report this to the police mate if you have not already done so

as already said in this thread, I would be very sceptical about anyone asking me to get out of my car! even if two policemen in uniform asked I would still ask them to hand me some ID through the crack of my window!

The jackers may be a bit thick but there's also thick drivers out there who will believe them and get out of the car leaving it to the thieves.

What makes you think they were after the car Mikey?
A car full of lads cruising around, itching for a fight perhaps?

All it needs to for someone to "provoke" them with a traffic light GP start avec flames and that's unfortunately the red flag waved for some Neanderthals.

It could have got very nasty but you luckily had your eyes open.

Doc you have details and Tony, enable ya private message thing

Butty good point, might have just been up for a scrap, an even bigger indication of the mentality of that sort of Scum, pond life, low brow etc
Especially cos it wasn't even dark

Did the Police thing and lo and behold, "Thank You sir, we'll keep an eye out" type thing. Not much they could do to be fair as I only looked at the plate once and only caught half of it

Are you not

Anyways, I've had about 50 folk wanting to know where it was at so here goes, I can't see any harm in posting this <looks about>

Light gold/silver Focus Reg FN53 summat
Woodhouse Way just past the turning for Bilborough and broxtowe
The boozer on the right just before the Texaco Garage
About 15:30hrs

As I've said to everyone, I won't be letting this episode spoil my enjoyment of the car! Nor should it affect yours! I've done 60k miles over 3 years in an overt performance car and this is the only time that I have been aware that someone might be after it! As one member said, they may not even have been trying for the car, they might have just been good old fashioned racists or jealous
Don't give these to55ers the time of day or the adrenalin buzz they need to go and talk ****e down the pub with thier fellow doley scumbags.

You should go home another way Mikey (back to the route you took when we were the first successful 'Was it you' !).
I'll keep my eyes peeled for that one....my gym (sorry, the gym that i use) is right on the edge of that area and we get all the worlds bad boys in there!
