Default PayPal Subscriptions

Hi All

For some reason the automatic update of paypal subscriptions stopped working earlier. We are looking in to it, but there may be a delay of an hour or two in setting you up as we're having to do it manually.

If you have signed up, but your account has not gone active, please posts here with you initials (of your real name - to help us identify the signup) and your username that you signed up with, plus what subscription you signed up for..

example :
SDB - webmaster - Plus Member

We'll get through all of them gradually, but if you post in here we'll work on your first.

Apologies, and regards

webmaster

Thanks Big Daz. You're now all set-up.

It looks like PayPal signups are working again, but we'll monitor it more closely to keep an eye on it.

Hi Wurzel

Shaun receives the cheques, so I can't be sure. But as you are not set-up as a plus member yet, you are safe to use the online registration, and send an email to shaun letting him know that you've done that.

Cheers

Cool

ok I have already registered for SN+ a week or so ago but obviously the cheque has not arrived yet. I have just paid with paypal so if the cheque finally turns up can you just rip it up for me.

I have no idea what the number was that the registration thing gave me when I filled the form out so hopefully you know that already.

How long will it take to get setup.

Cheers
Steve

Please post your details as described above and we will activate you manually.

It appears that some people are still not getting automatically updated.

Apologies for this. If it happens to you, simply post details as described in here and we will activate you "almost" instantly

Thanks to everyone who's signed up

Hi,

Sent a cheque last week, I assume it hasn't been received yet, is it worth going through Paypal or just wait for you to receive the cheque?

OK

It looks like it's all working now. (finger crossed). Mistry, I see yours has gone through and been updated automatically. I'll make an icon for people who have subscribed to the for sale forum, so it is easy to see.

--

If you have sent your cheque, it is completely up to you whether you wait for manual authorisation. If you want instant access, use the online payment method and send an email to shaun@scoobynet.co.uk entitled "CANCEL CHEQUE" and include your name and if possible the registration number you sent with the cheque.

All the best

Hi Jaycee

That will be something to do with your paypal account. It may be that you will need to verify your paypal account before being able to send the money, but that can take time as you have to wait for your credit card statement.

jaycee

You don't need an account, as it will set one up automatically when you make your first payment through paypal.

I have seen this happen to some people, but the majority are able to pay immediately. To be honest, I never got to the bottom of the reasons behind this. I asked paypal and they said it had nothing to do with credit rating or anything like that, but may have something to do with where you live, etc, etc. Not really sure, as even that didn't make sense in the cases I was investigating.

I'll investigate setting up NOCHEX as well, as this may be another option. It only allows things like switch cards (not credit cards, but at least it would be another option). Apologies, this won't be able to happen for a few days though as we're just flat out.

I'll also have a think about other options, which have just come to mind.

Will report back soon.

Cheers

Smile Joint Scoobynet+ Membership

Simon - Shaun what about having a joint membership for the couples that are on here as a lot of other subscription sites have joint membership for couples at a discount.

There are numerous couples on here so I think they would agree!

Re : Membership packs, cards, etc.

Within the next 2 - 3 days, we'll have a form you can fill in to give us your address, so we can send you the membership packs. So anyone who is registered as a plus member, can fill the form out, and it we'll send the packs out.

All the best

Simon
