£25 to post :(
So let me get this right
you now have to pay £25 to be able to post in the for sale section. On top of this you now can not post attatchments with out paying the above £25
Great, (quote) most people are happy with this (unquote)
WHO IS NOT?
I like a lot of people have been on scoobynet for a long time, this really has imho put it back a long way. There must be other ways or restricting fly-postings, maybe by having to be a member for a period of time?

It's going to stop the crap from being put on from other car sites.
Some people use this site for the For sale section because it has so much traffic.
At least it will slow it down a bit and let scooby owners get a chance in selling there items without outsiders pushing them to the bottom of the pack.
No i'm not saying this coz i'm a sn+ member and i've never sold anything on the for sale section.
I became a sn+ member to support the guys that give us this great (i think you will agree) site.

Paying £25 means the people that post here just for the selling will have to go else where as they think £25 for posting in the for sale section is a waste of money.
People that genuinly (sp?) enjoy scoobynet will pay the £25, not much really is it.
God if we can afford Scoobs then i'm sure we can afford Less than a tank of petrol.
I became a SN+ member to try and support a good site that helps me with my interests.
Do you think this site works on it's own?
It might be a hobbie for you but it's a job/hobbie for the ring leaders.
THINK ABOUT IT!!
Edited to say i've never sold anything on scoobynet!

How often do you actually sell something on here?
If you actually look at the subscriptions you can pay either £5 for one month, or £15 for one year. Now, I think the fiver a month would be good if you're selling your car.
I've stumped up 25 quid for Plus membership, why? well, I've been using/abusing SN since 1999, and I feel it's about time I gave something back to the community.
If you don't like paying for the for sale section then go sell your things elsewhere, it's as simple as that.

I had the same problem, I sent the administrator an email saying "..I am over 13!!! ...)
Then I did this:

Seems to be workin now Chris

Hmmmm, so what about all the smaller cheaper items like Dawes, gauges, standard parts, cheaper parts?
That hole part of the community has just been wiped out IMHO.
No ones going to stump up 5, 15 or 25 just to sell a dawes, and yet its one of the parts that usually sells very quickly and is wanted all the time.
All IMHO.

By making the wanted section subscription only they are hurting their own paying members. They will no longer have the market to sell their goods. Maybe to reply they should be a member but to post in wanted should be free. It helps the paying members here.

£25 isn't a great amount of money, but for someone like me without a Scoob, any discount benefits are not there. Add that £25 to all the other fees - clubs, magazines, internet costs etc and it soon mounts up to a large sum of money each month.
Having said that, I'm all for supporting SN and think it is a good idea in principle, and i never sell anything, so no biggie really. Just one less forum for me to look in, so i can do more work

So what your saying is you have to pay £25 to post in the for sale section, is that once or for the full year. Stupid question i know but if its £25 per post its going to cost a furtune!!!!!
Although i do understand its not cheap to run a decent forum,(mine new japanese performance car community is on its way soon and its free of charge!!!!!!!! so watch his space!!!)
Cheers Gord!!!
P.s, u dont want to be losing members do you!!

£25 to sell anything in the For Sale Forums?
If so that is poor.... the number or small items I've bought and sold with fellow members in numerous. That side of thing will now die a death.

It's up to webby and co how they set up their business model and for sure they are prepared to accept the positive and negative consequences of their decision. We have already seen posts to that effect.
To be honest it does make sense to generate revenue from the busier parts of the site e.g. the for sale section. I'm sure they have considered that people may just go elsewhere and are prepared to take the risk of that happening.
I sold a scoob on here a few years back and I guess it would only be fair if I had to part with a few quid to access their customer base er, sorry I meant the community.
