For Sale Forum Subscription Information
Dear All
To make it clear. We have the following structure available.
£5 for 1 month
£15 for 1 year
FOC to Plus members (£25 a year)
This enables you to post new threads so you can sell as many items as you like in that time.
---
We are working absolutely 100% flat out, trying to reduce the server load / speed issues in order to get the site running properly. Until that happens, we will not be able to discuss this in detail. We have answered a number of threads all asking the same questions, so will have to lock them and point everyone to this thread.
---
Once the site is working properly, we will revisit this and discuss it in full. Your patience and support are appreciated in the mean time.
Best regards
webmaster

One question.
Do you need a subscription (be it full SN plus, or just for the Classifieds dection) to REPLY to a for sale post? One assumes not.

In vB land, attachments are uploaded to the host webserver and served from there. I doubt SN would be willing to host all the images etc. that get linked to in threads, therefore, as in the past, you must use your own hosting for images that you wish to display, then link to them using [ img ] tags.

Waggy Doo - Click on User CP Look down the left hand list and you'll see paid subscriptions You will then see a list of subscriptions, pick the one you want, click 'order' and it'll ask you for your PayPal info, this is exactly how I got my Plus Membership.

Why? because they have to pay to sell? It IS helping the community, as it is creating a revenue stream. Here is a question, would you have prefered to have been charged, ooh, lets say 2 quid for every item you sold? or this method?

Not having a dig at the new system, I appreciate all the hard work that has gone in to making Scoobynet a better place, I just doubt that I'll be selling any items on here

Good point there about the messers, had not thought about that, can see how you'd pay your fiver and have some bell-ends leave your cheese out in the wind. Not sure there is anything that can be done about this though, then again, maybe this would be a use for the negative member rating, a bit like e-bay, if someone constantly pulls out of deals, without a pretty reasonable excuse, then neg rate them, this would let others know about this.
Not sure how you would police this, maybe have to email the mod of the forum or Si/Shaun and ask them to increase the neg rating?
