Default LRC100 - fault again

i've just had my second LRC100 go on me today.

my first lasted 2 months (with 1 great license save) and the second which was tested before dispatch starting to misbehave this morning .. it turned itself off ... not good as on the the other side of the M11 was a police trap on a bridge with plod "chase" cars in waiting.

yawn ... another call to comtech tomorrow.

- mark.

PS maybe it's just the july/aug 2003 bunch ????

My LRC100 has gone screwy, too. It's going off randomly, and the buzzer squeals quietly whenever it feels like it! Seems to be related to how rainy it is. Hopefully it's easy enough to remove the main units without stripping out all the associated wiring.

I would prefer a test in Reading, yes. However it makes no sense to test what I suspect to be a fulty unit. I 'just' need to get it replaced. I've not tried removing the old one yet. Do you know how simple it is to remove the main unit? I didn't fit it myself.

its fairly easy, depending on how and where its fitted. I take it you have been in contact with the tester. I would be interested in sometime during Feb.
