You don't NEED to pay a subscription... The subscriptions are to access EXTRA stuff.

Correct me if i'm wrong but you wont find a better forum than this that relaites to Subaru Imprezas.

Why pay the subscription?

Pay one of the subscriptions if you want to use the "for sale section" to make yourself some money, using someone elses site, that also has overheads.

Or pay for the full membership if you enjoy using the site and wish to make a small donation to say thanks.

You are fairly new to the site so you may not yet had the chance to sample the benefits.

If you are a scoob owner and enjoy discussing with other scooby owners about mods, performance, problem solving, meet ups and other related disscusions then you will enjoy this site and not need another scooby site.

Hay, give it a few weeks and you be a scoobynet+ member

is it still possible to access the "search forums", or is this part of the membership area. on the previous site, i did find this useful.

Personally I'm finding all these links to other sites less than respectful. I've checked a few of them and they contain posts running Scoobynet down, poking fun at the efforts to which Simon and the crew are making to improve our home.
I wonder how many times Simon has posted on these sites saying come and try Scoobynet.....

I'm happy where I am for now thank you, if I wish to look for another bbs then I'll simply search the internet.

I will second that.

Why cus the site you've been using for along time, when the people that work every day, trying to keep this site up and runnig in tip top condition, try to improve things?

And i do feel the site much better than before.

That sound like peolpe are being two faced to me!

Doesn't the money from sponsorships and banner ads cover overheads and then some?

There's lots of banners and lots of clicking happening!

Thumbs up

I for one would really miss it if it was gone
I've been off work for a while with illness and we've not been able to go to any scooby gatherings for a while.
I've found it great to share scooby enthusiasm and to share other stuff in general.
Its been great to keep in touch while I'm stuck at home
I can even WOW Mr.Scoobypreza with some of my new found scooby knowledge!
Thanks scoobynetters I think yer great!

Give it a chance and you'll appreciate why there are some who are working very hard to keep it going.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the support. It shows the difference between ScoobyNet and other sites. We have a true community here, so ScoobyNet has never, and will never post spam on other forums trying to "get traffic". ScoobyNet has always been about being decent and honourable, and it is this ethos we are putting all our efforts in to supporting now.

All the best

Simon

Simon

I've been very quiet trying to get used to the new format. I struggled at first and i think there is one or two things still to be done (but i know you are doing this).

All in all SN3 is brilliant and a step forward IMHO. I'm no whizz kid and i've got used to it and i understand it. Top job, well done to all involved.

(bit too much orange though)

Not sure, just typed the smilies in..................

Check at the bottom of the "reply to thread" page (the page that opens when your relpying) that the smilies are not disabled.

Can't really help on that one.
