Angry My brakes siezed!

Couldn't get the car out of the garage this morning, car refused to move (rear offside wheel completely locked up!) . Called out Subaru Assist who got it moving but have told me to get it to my dealer asap to check the brakes!

Nearest dealers is now 20 miles away, since Beechdale closed down and they can't do anything until at least mid afternoon.

Anyone else had this problem?

Not on Scoobys but I know of at least one 3 Series that has had a brake seizure and sadly has meant that all 4 discs need replacing at a cost of £476 on an 8 month old car!!

All down to the salt on the roads and snow.

As for Beechdale they closed down becasue Sytner were sucking up all the business because of their flash new showroom and have also kicked out Mazda and that is going to become Mini when the 1 series and X3 are launched. So Beechdale felt they would not be able to compete and closed the operation down leaving Derby as the nearest Subaru dealer for Notts!!

Talking

Took it to Beechdale in Derby yesterday. Nothing wrong with rear brakes now! Need a new caliper on the front though but at least it's covered by warranty.

'tis a good excuse to take the car out for a good run after washing it though to thoroughly clean and dry off the brakes
