Just up from our office is a auto spares shop and one of the guys is selling an EVO4 which looks in good condition and looks standard.

I've just watched a lad pull up in a UK turbo MY98 and looks like he's interested in buying. What would you do?

Yes EVO is faster, more aggressive and I guess more accomplished (don't know never driven one) but what about real world costs:

Insurance - higher
Servicing - higher (especially AYC on EVO4s)
Fuel bills - higher

I'm not judging the decision in any way just wondered what peoples thoughts were. In my case I have other things that eat away at my hard earned (house, daughter, GF etc.) and I have a nasty stain on my driving license so my UK Turbo is suitable for me and my budget.

So, over to you?

 

In standard form id take the evo over the uk scoob but better still get a JDM impreza version 4 or newer. Same power as the evo but not quite as scary on insurance & servicing.

 

If you worry about the cost of petrol, insurance etc.. Then you can't afford an evo. If your on a budget then it's the wrong car.

 

The evo IV look *** though.....
