I had a tack stuck in mine. Went to a tyre place and he pulled it out with pliers. It didn't leak and he said it was fine. I was a little worried to be honest but the tyre was fine for another 4000 miles.

Depends where it is in the tyre and if it can be plugged. Certainly wouldn't go racing about on it as it is a weakened tyre and the nail may make the situation worse and result in a blow out.

I'll answer before it gets this thread is transported into the Muppets ...
You probably haven't noticed but air will already be leaking very slowly out from that tyre.
Option A:
Drive to your nearest tyre centre and get them to repair it...takes less then 10 minutes if they're quick about it! Suggest you watch these guys work to make sure they tighten all the nuts to your wheel
Option B:
Pull the nail out and get a proper puncture, then swap it for the spare and then drive down to your nearest tyre centre.......

Or you could drive around on it for months like I did with a Yokohama AVS tyre. The nail finally disappeared. Just make your spare is inflated.
Damn those Yokos have stiff sidewalls almost run flat and they didn't mind the speeds that I realy shouldn't have been doing.

As already said.... get straight down to your local tyre centre and let them pull it out.
If you leave it in and have a blow out, you will have more than a tyre to worry about

you can get a nail in a 5min old tyre it dont make any diffrence how old or new the tyres are.
just get it fixed because when you get up in the morring and it is flat as a fart. plus if it has lost air and you have been driving with less air the chances are that you have run the tyre flat. now you will need a new tyre.
