From: Nottingham - HEY scumbag, leave my scoob alone!!!
Extended my(MY00) warrany for another 2 years at the cost of £420, I know this sounds a bit steep, but consider if things do go wrong you can spend more than this ,easy. One little snag is that you have to keep up the servicing at a Subaru dealer.
Mines going in for its 52k service next Sat, got a noise coming from the clutch pedel, gonna get them to check it out, for free under the warranty. How much would this cost me if not under warranty?
I would if I was you buy the warranty, then you have piece of mind that if something does go wrong you can get it repaired for free

Are we talking about a 1 year warranty on a 2nd hand scoob, or the end of the 3year + 2year ext warranty. I'll guess at the 2nd choice.
I've heard a few things about people being offered extensions after the 5 years is up. Love to know what they cost and what they cover (hopefully the same as the 1st 2 year extension). Dealers dont seem to advertise this at all.
