emissions

I’ve just looked thorough all the pervious threads about emissions. Trying to look for a definite answer to this question:
Does SUL help reduce emission in a normal run of the mill car? I.e.: Renault Clio, as a friend of mine has just failed her MOT on this.

Sorry Phil I don't think it would have any noticeable effect at all. The gasses being measured are just products of combustion.
There is always (apparently) an adjustment to the mixture. My mechanic friend managed it on my Legacy when the dealer told me it was pre-set at the factory! - You just need to find the right knowledgeable (& intelligent & honest ) mechanic. Of course if the vehicle is new enough to require a cat you probably need to replace the cat! - do get the mixture checked first though
