Question Has anyone tried importing a Scoob from the States?

It strikes me that with the $ worth so little these days there should be a bargain to be had. Basic price is around £17k, so you could have your new 2.5 litre STi on the road for £22 - 23k.

Any pitfalls/problems?

£22K-£23K sounds about right.....once you've paid the shipping that is. That could easily be another £1500 or more, unless there's a group-buy, that is

having already done it you might want to look into getting some new front seats as they are a little wide

Funny that. I sat in one last December in Florida and it seemed quite comfortable. Must be my "comfort" padding

I can't see that ordering a RHD would be that much of a problem. Probably need a big deposit though.

Any other experiences (he asks, about to look at the T25 web page)?

I can see that ordering a RHD one would be a problem. The only countries getting the 2.5l at the moment are USA and Canada, and as they are both LHD places, there would be no reason why they would want to import a RHD version, if such a version exists, which I don't think it does right now. So we're talking a one-off special here, can't see it happening.
