I saw what I suspect was a very sneak speedtrap on the M25 today.

I was coming anticlockwise, and spotted an unmarked white Shogun or trooper type on top of a bridge, directly behind the sign for Junction 15. The oncoming traffic would not have seen a thing.

To the left of the sign were three little boxes on tripods, all next to each other.

They could have been surveying trafic but I doubt it.

This speed trap, is by the M25 junction to M4 Heatrow or am I way off. I've seen the information boards over the motorway flash a few times when people have gone blasting past.

that's the one. It wasn't part of the usual gantry system.

It was after that large warehouse on the left.

I live very close the bridge you are talking about and the Shogun has been there on and off for about four weeks. I've never seen any uniformed officers in the car and they did have a warning sign saying 'traffic survey in progress' or something. So, I don't *think* it's speedtrap, but I could be wrong.

BTW Idris - good to see you at Cadwell Park, did you get any rides ?

Gonna give the other track days a try. Might even take the car out on the track, if I can get a few things in to order with the car.

Gary is right, none of the Police forces who service the M25 have any un-marked Shoguns.

The thing you have seen is a survey TrafficMaster are carrying out, absolutely nothing to do with the police.
