Just seen my trade-in on dealers site for 3k more than he gave me (7k for an 01 sport 19k miles, against a 52 wrx 16k, 11k miles) feel well robbed! to top it all recieved a letter today from same dealer asking me if i want to sell back a my99 sport i bought three years ago as they have buyers waiting.
whats the most mark up you have seen on your trade ins?

when i traded in my modded calibra for my scoob the dealer only gave me £1100,he said it wasnt worth much.i knew he was full of s**t but i just wanted the scoob anyway.
a week later in autotrader he said it was the best calibra in scotland and sold it for £2000.
what he didnt know until i had signed all the papers, then there was no going back on the deal was that i had ripped out the leather intereior, replaced it with cloth,he was not very happy when he realised but there was sod all he could do![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Its usually at least £2500-£3000 on a car thats selling for between £15000-£20000 thats what they said when I was thinking of tradeing in my P1 gives them about £1500 profit after they have done hpi check, mileage check, serviced it, valated it, done any reconditioning(wheels dents paintwork etc), done subaru proven check, advertiseing costs, had it sitting there for 6 weeks, and put a warranty on it etc etc. six months ago they said they would give me £17000 for my P1 which they said they would try and sell for £19995. But I agree £3000 on a £7000 car is a bit steep.

When I PX'd my Scoob it was up for sale for £995 more than I got. I thought that was pretty fair, considering it was due an MOT soon and that the purchaser would probably haggle a couple of hundred off.
