Question Convert me! (long story)

Ok here`s the score. A few of my friends are running Scoobys and I wannna join in the fun (for less than 5K!). Problem is I`m not sure I want a Scooby. Just the speed. I`ve leveled it down to a handfull of cars I like which I think will keep up.(think!). Your serious views please as I know more than a few of you will have owned these cars......
1. Early Mitsy Evo.
2.Celica GT4.
3.Delta Integrale (not LHD).
4.Quattro (5K?).
5.Skyline.
6.300ZX twin turbo.
7.RXZ Infiniti (engine probs?).
8.Legacy Turbo (heavy?)
9.MR2 Turbo.
10.200SX Touring. (been offered a beauty with a few mods that I`m very tempted with).
Any advice or opinions would be much apprieciated as I don`t want to bug Steve with the pink (sorry, red metalic!) V-plate Imprezza with my questions any more! He keeps telling me Scooby`s the only way to go, and after many a jaunt in his jalopy, I fear he may be right! Convert me!

You wont get a nearly nice Skyline for that money. Or a Quattro. Or an RX7.

Me thinks you may have to reconsider your qualification on No. 3

Thumbs up Thanks guys.

Will probably end up with a Scooby (although this tuned 200 SX touring on a P for less than 3 and a half K is VERY tempting) Don`t know why but I don`t fancy a cossie. RX7 infinitti on Autotrader in red £4995 looks fantastic but expensive to repair when problematic. Integrale/Quattro not really an option at 5K. Celica GT4? It`s looking like the Scooby really. Decisions, decisions! Going to see the building society at the weekend for the cash so I`ll have to decide soon!

In all honesty, if money's an issue, any performance car will cost loads if it goes **** up... just bite the bullet and get a scooby..

yeah you really need to factor in running costs as i never did when i first got a scoob although it wasn't that bad & was worth every penny & i now own a RX7 & insurance is cheaper c/o classic policy but MPG is far worse lol & there is the potential big bill thing but hey it's all fun
It really depends on what sort of car yer after as well & yer situation, without trying to sound like a *** scoob is a great fast & relatively easy car to drive fast other cars are less freindly
Best advice is go & have a try in all the options you are considering & i'm sure your mind will be made up but do try & factor in the reality of ownership 200SX's you could also get a very tidy one of those i guess....

If you have to ask the question your to far gone & out of reach.

How can you make a scooby quicker than any of the above !!!! simple, hacksaw & a set of billies. Then if you still need assurance, watch this site & see how much enjoyment people get out of owning the ultimate weapon.

Go on before it's to late, but I guess the Nova bug has already hit.

Classic's rock 'oh yes'

Thumbs up Thanks again guys.

It`s looking like the Scooby then. Have driven quite a few of the other cars, (but not for long periods) got a friend who deals in sporty cars (3000 GT`s, RX7`s, Supra`s, 300zx`s etc, etc). Running cost is not really a problem as it will be a second car (old 528i for work etc) so when the cash comes through I`ll be looking on here for a bargain! (hint hint). Anyone after other sports jobs let me know and I`ll pass my friends number on.
