Gone and bought a brand new Evo8 FQ300!!,thought my scoob was quick(STI7PPP),but believe me this thing is another step up!,not as nice inside admitly,but the way it goes is just wicked!!,let the modding begin!!just a decent induction kit and a de-cat should give one hell of a power boost!!

dont take delivery till 04 is out(second week in march),had one for a test drive over the weekend,will post them up when it arrives.

What colour did you go for?

I've seen some pics of the leather option - it certainly gives the interior a boost.

Didnt happen to buy it off Black Knight from MLR per chance?

 

You should be able to pay a couple of grand (maybe less) and get the FQ330 engine upgrade package shouldn't you? at least that way you preserve the warranty.

I drove an STi PPP just before driving the FQ300. Both were good in their own ways.

What made you decide on the STi over the FQ300?

 

I think you'll find that the FQ300 has a different induction kit (HKS) or maybe it was the FQ330 that came with that?

Yep it will be from black knight on MLR,went for Palma Red,will probally go for the turinis rather than the leather though,went for the mitsi rather than the STI because they are a lot lot more exclusive,round the b roads at the weekend it was like glue,a lot better than my STI7,and next to the STI although nice,the evo8 has a lot more road presence,the FQ package is a different exhaust and free breathing panel air filter,which in most cases gives the car approx 320-330bhp,the FQ330 is a piggy back back chip,exhaust,filter,500 more revs and again in most cases 350ish bhp,obviously concerned about warrenty so not sure about de-cat or HKS induction,although the power returns for doing that are i believe very good!! still it was time for a change!and at the price i got it for well lets just say a good few grand less than a STI PPP! with 18" Turinis as well.

 

Nellie - I pinged you a private message separately, but how did you find the harshness of the ride in the FQ?
