Red face Stops like a double decker bus

I have a fairly standard MY00 apart from backbox, so it will be on standard brakes, and bloody hell it takes some stopping.

At this stage I dont want to splash out on disk and caliper upgrades, so I was wondering what experience there is out there in terms of different pads. Currently thinking of going to Mintex 1155's as a good road pad with less fade when on a charge.

Preference would also be to still be able to tell what colour the alloys are after a few miles, so if anyone has had a bad experience with excessive brake dust, the tip off would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Rammy

I've got mintex pads on mine, they do seem a little better than the OEM stuff, and they stood up to my constant VERY late hard braking on the track last week (didnt wanna **** tyres )

Can't help with the colour issues as I have anthracite wheels

So some improvement then

Guess if your using then on the track you wont know what the general wear rate is?

I have the Mintex 1155 and find them much better than the OE pads. But the brake dust is as bad

I've also had EBC red which were total ****e, people say there is a new specification now that is a billion times better, but once bitten twice shy ...... They were totally fab for brake dust though, pretty much zero.

Many peple on here recommend the Ferodo DS2500 or the Pagid's.

Thanks for the tip on the Ferodo and Pagid, hadn't considered them.

EBC's dont sound like they use any pad which would explain the lack of dust
