Default Green Filter????

Checked my air filter today, caked in ****e... 22k miles...

Went for a Green on but it didn't seem to fit... looked exactly the same size but the green one had some lugs on the rubber...

Anyone know if thiers a differnt one for the STI??? or will the normal green fit with push...?

Help

Dazza,

Got one in my STi7 and had to cut the lugs off to get it to fit. (Got mine from Scoobysport, and Pete said to cut them off).

I paid £47 for mine and had to cut half of the lugs off (03 WRX).... improves the mid range no end though!

Drove back to Leeds to buy it, and the did it for £32 quid...>>>>

HAd a quick word and he said they'd probably do it for £30 with a few orders, problem is... they won't post the things out... bummer!

Anyone wanting one around the Yorks area? let me know...

Does run better in the mid range now...

Dazza,

I work in Leeds and am after a green filter. Can you let me know where you got it from.

Cheers

Tim.

on the greenfilters site there is a faq regarding removing the lugs.

basically you need to remove equal amounts from both sides to keep the filter central.

greenfilters.com

you can buy direct appears chep at £36.95 add vat and delivery comes out at £49 ouch.

A1 motorstores also sell these and apparently they have a special on at the moment. they are nationwide if anyone is interested.
