Hi im looking at purchasing a subaru in the next few weeks and am very much confused on what to get. My choices are either a P1, a bugeye sti, or an sti v5 type r. Im pulled towards the p1 and sti as I want a blue 2 door, however the bug eye is more modern. Whats the main difference performance wise between the p1 and the v5 sti, is there much in it. Mt previous impreza was a my95wrx which was very heavy to run. What sort of consumption am I looking at between these cars. Whats the overall view on what I should get, taking in mind that a p1 is about 17k where as an sti v will only cost about 13k. Please feel free to say what you believe as I dont want to make the mistake of buying the wrong car.

Well and STi is going to be heavier on fuel than an MY95. My standard MY00 UK wagon gets low 20's on a day to day basis, I doubt you will do much better with an STi unless you drive it very gently.
As for which is the right car? Only you can answer that really, what do you want from the car? Do you feel you will get an extra £4k of value out of P1 compared to an STi?

It depends on what your after, you could go for either the STi 7 type UK or the P1, both will probably still have warranties or extended warranties, the Type R will be more of a "real" scoob over the others but you will not have the likes of ABS or a warranty if things go wrong... the P1 is probably the better if you prefer the classic shape but a PPP'd STi7 will be more than enough fun ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
