don't get me started!!
if your car a EU Import UK car.. or a non Eu Import car.
ie: from MotorPoint etc.. the cars are fromout side the EU.
Dutch UK cars are around £15k.. no more
Non EU UK cars are about £14k no more.
Px on a Full uk car is only £13.5/14k at a dealer!!!
so work it out.
also its about a 15% devalve drop on brand new car price too... so what ever you paid for your car minus 15% to give you an idea what your cars worth.
ppl asking £17k for a full uk car need to open there eyes.. also ppl asking more than £15k for a EU import car want to come back to the real world.. their car was brand nu under £17k
i can get a brand new full uk car at a subaru dealer for £18300!!!!
a cars only worth what someone will pay for it.

Salsa King,
remember not all Euro cars are the same or cost the same.
I agree in principle with the discounting off the price paid- and that needs to be considered in setting a realistic price. Also you need to keep an eye on how much a brand new identical spec would cost.
To answer the original question I put mine up for £16 and got accepted £15.6. A fair price I think - and so did the buyer. I budged more than I was because the car may have needed undersealing (I couldn't be sure)- and it was something I hadn't thought of.
It sold quickly to the first buyer, I suspect because it was priced realistically. Same car on a dealer forecourt was £18k. And it is the same car before anyone starts
If you can get a new car from a UK dealer for £18k then go for it! There is almost always a buyer for the right product.....

you just said it. your car needed undersealing?,.... so it was from a non Eu country like Cyprus?
Cypriot cars you can buy brand new at just over £16.5k
i think ppl will buy 'your' car at £15.6k as they don't really know what the car is worth or what they are buying.
if you said it only cost £1k more brand new!! would that person not think the second hand price was too high???
£18300 for a BRAND new UK Subaru with full 3 year warranty and alarm etc.
Motor point cars only work out at about £1k -ish less buy the time you add all the bits up when you buy it.
you pays your money you taes your choice.
if you only loose about £1k deprecition on your car after say 10months you've done very well.. fare play to that person.. but the buy obivously has not looked into the second hand car market enough.
I has ppl Emailing me offering their FULL uk car with 8k miles 10months old.. £15k
WHY. cus they had only been offered £14k at a Subrau dealer etc!!
