Have read that CM 2 is out tomorrow, anyone know if this is true?

...and Happy Puppy's top tip is that you should use the Subaru WRC as it is the best handling car in the game (and this time Colin has a Focus, what can I say).

VRally 2 on DC is excellent - can't recommend it enough.

I don't think much of Prima's teaser booklet (trying to sell you their strategy guide book)... They get oversteer and understeer nicely muddled up in the setup guide, both in the power distribution and brake bias sections, so that's a good advert for the book.

It's a sad fact but in GT2, I found the Impreza WRC car between 2 and 5 seconds slower on most of the Dirt circuits.

Pretty sad huh!

Game looks great......Finland - lots of trees, France v.v.FAST....
Already managed to rip boot spoiler off!!
Some of the sounds are a little strange, i.e. very squeaky springs when going over a bump and the screech of tyres on tarmac sounds like its been stolen from a Tom & Jerry cartoon.
Nice big gold alloys on tarmac stages though

 

Got my copy today ! Great so far.
I was most impressed after having an outrageous 'moment' and seeing the right hand indicator stuck on - cool !

Anyone know when Driver2 is out on PSX ?

 

Driver 2 - provisionally end of Oct 2000 - haven't seen it yet - when I do I'll let you know what it's like.

Perhaps with Colin's record this season, they should have renamed it Richard Burns Rally. There have been rumours that it's been delayed somewhat due to Ford's lacklustre performance. The appearance of 2 similar rally games on the PC months ago affirms this.
I wonder whether the Focus is as prone to mechanical problems in the game as Colin would have everyone believe in real life. Does it go phut when driven over a rock ?

 

I cannot get Bleem! to work on my PC. It plays the FMV intros, but locks ups when it tries tp play the games. Anybody had similar problems with it??

Back on topic.

CM2 - top, top game - they really squeeze the best out of the PS1 graphics.

Autocar rated Four stars although at the same time they say that at it's best it is better than GT2 (five stars).

It is very, very good especially the flame outs on gear changes just like Moray

A couple of questions tho'

Is it just me or does the Focus sound like a broken hairdryer, and the Evo like a broken washing machine?

And why does the spec for the Focus include a "Catalytic Converter" - 'cos if it's true it has been converted into toast by the anti-lag
