spec C limited vs 2003 V limited or something else?
I was looking to get a mitsubishi evo 8 mr, but sadly came to the conclusion that although its nice, the repayments are going to be a little more than I can justify spend, so I decided to pop into a subaru dealer.
they have a 2003 Spec C limited in blue that has been there for about 6 months and they are willing to give it to me for what sounds like a decent price and a pretty good deal on the finance.
firstly anyone got an idea what the spec C limited's original price was?
secondly while I was in there I saw a brochure for the 2003 V Limited (wrx and sti versions) and it looks gorgeous, the looks nearly sold me on it, but I cant seem to find any reviews on it online and I have a suspision that it is merely a tweaked/styled STi, rather than something as special as the C limited.
anyone know any more about this car? or how the 2 compare?
lastly, upon reading the spec c brochure, i noticed that there is no underseal on the car, is the going to result in the car rotting away? and is it easy to apply underseal to this car if required?
thanks in advance...im horton...first post and all that ****...

although Im a brit, im living in japan at the moment.
The car has a sticker price of 2 880 000 Yen. (that is a touch under 14000pounds)
that seems stupidly cheap to me, but I cant confirm the original price in Japan, to see if Im getting as good a deal as i think i am.
I found the price for the 16 & 17inch spec C - but I cant find a price for the spec C limited anywhere.
I think I should be able to get it a bit cheaper than 2.8M though, because its 3 weeks from the end of the japanese financial year and they need to shift cars to get their bonus.

Spec C limited is finito - limited means limited edition, and they are history. The V limiteds are specced up and seriously good motors. The STi gets a very special suspension package with 4 step adjustable dmapers and a raft of other bits that are nice to have. If you want one you'd better hurry coz AFAIK there are not many left of the 555.
The MR is a pearler too IMHO.
Either would serve you well IMHO. And I know where to get them tuned (seriously, not the bling bling tunes you usually see here ).
Cheers

Im pretty much convinced to get the spec C limited now...
Im going to the dealer in about 10mins to take some pics, discuss price and see if they are willing to give me finance.
Although the car has not been owned by anyone, it has been sitting on a dealers forecourt since sept/oct 2003 - are there any problems likely because of 6months or so inactivety? (well apart from losing 6months warranty)
