Thumbs up

I remember seeing a thread about this several months ago-apparently the heater element is allready in the mirrors on the classics but they arent wired up,various people have been wiring them up themselves to (i presume) the rear demister switch.
I think all 01+ cars have heated mirrors though.

easy

Sounds like we need someone with a knackered mirror to gut it and photo the internal gubbins for the good of the community....

generally its not that cold in Japan (metropolitan areas anyway)

So the UK gets electric heated mirrors that don't fold, the Japanese get electric folding mirrors that don't heat.

Andy - They're not heated as standard, but are electric - 'we' 'believe' that the heater part of the mirror is actually in place, since they electrically moveable, but is not wired up----

The folding ones are Jap only I'm afraid !

Err- We're talking classic here, as the new models have 'such mod cons..'...

The classic DEFO doesn't have them wired up....- I don't even know that it has them - maybe need to take a mirror off....

i had a look under the mirror switch on my sti5 the other day. theres 3 connectors for the mirrors there.

I'm assuming one is for adjusting the mirrors and the other is for the elec folding mirrors, both these are connected. the third one is not connected to anything. any idea what its for ?
