Pick up my Black 04 WRX in 2 hours - excitement turning to nerves

What's general consensus for running in revs then, 3000? - 3500 at a push? The turbo kicks in at 3500 right?
Anything I should look out for?
Also, as I had the quickshift fitted, I assume I'm well within my rights to ask for the old gearshift back aswell?

Turbo arrives gradually above 2k but really kicking in at 3k. I think the consensus is to keep the revs below 4k until the 1st service.
I echo watching the corners - the mark III rolls more on the corners than it should given its performance. Great car....even though it could be better.

Personally I kept it below 3K with no full boost for the first 300 miles. Then 3.5K with full boost for the next 500 miles then up to about 4K and full boost for the last 200 miles before the first service!
-Thrashed it ever since .....
Sounds fiddly - but you can feel the engine open up and stop smelling over the first 1K.
Also bear in mind that 4K in 5th is over 100mph ........
